Mrs M. A. Wilson,

My Dear Sister, It is with a sad heart that I try this day to write to you, death again has been in our family, our little Tommy has paid the last debt of nature. He died on the 6th about 9 O'clock in the morning. He had a very bad spell about a month ago, black jaudice was very bad 3 or 4 days, and was about again. Was take on Friday night vomiting was up Saturday all day. I sent to the Dr and got some medicine gave this Saturday night, he was up all day Sunday Morning and Monday Morning was vomiting again sick at the stomach, took a chill about 8 or 9 O'clock he was up again in 2 or 3 hours was pe art and played around all evening. I thought best to give him pills again that evening, he took another chill in the night between 2 and 3 O'clock. The black jaundice came on him again, we called the Dr. early Tuesday morning he did not seem to think he was dangerous, but came again in the evening, seemed to think he was doing very well, about twelve in the night his hands and feet got cold a little. I soon warmed them but his fever rose higher, he was very restless but could not tell me what hurt him perticular, the Dr. came after dark Wednesday night the darling boy suffered terrible that night and in the morning. I felt that he was dying and so he was. My dear sister. Pray for us that are living that we may all be prepared to meet our loved ones that are gone to our Father in Heaven, may we be an unbroken family in the Kingdom we ask for Christs sake.

We are not very well. Emory is complaining, Lula has had some fevers, she is about. I gave her Yunine yesterday and today Frank Laura and Malie are picking cotton for one of our neighbors. Crops are very short here corn and cotton, the oat crop was good. There has been a great deal of sickness and is yet some of the summer has been very warm and dry, there been some rain about the last Sep and the first of this month. Amanda I have thought about you would come to see us this winter, is it just a notion or are you thinking about it?  Bruce are you coming? We want a hand next year if we can get one but that is not why I want you to come. We want to see you Bruce, don't let me over persuade you against your better judgement but we would like for you to come. Amanda give my love to the girls E I and M A and my Brothers and Sisters. I would be glad to hear from all. It has been along time since I had a letter from Miss, tell Mr. Stephens family that Cornelia is married again on the 5th at 4 o'clock to a Mr. Thompson. Write soon dear sister. Much love to all.
